The Saskatoon Retriever Club offers a class in the Spring to teach owners to train their dogs to be reliable retrievers. The class includes training of basic obedience, teaching the hold and fetch and retrieving bumpers and ducks in the field. With weather permitting wrap-up day may include a mock Working Certificate and Junior Hunt test for our new members/class participants.
This class is very valuable for those training their dog for hunting or participation in working certificate tests, hunt tests or field trials. All dogs shall be up-to-date with vaccinations, CKC or AKC registered retrievers and must have completed a basic obedience class prior to enrolling in this class.
The 2024 class will be starting in early April (weather permitting). The class will be held outdoors due to Covid19. All SHA regulations in regards to Covid-19 will be followed as well as masks (when possible) and social distancing.
