Saskatoon Retriever Club
The Saskatoon Retriever Club is a working retriever club near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We welcome owners who want to train and develop their retrievers for hunting, working certificates, hunt tests, and field trials. In addition, we aim to provide a supportive club environment for both new and experienced handlers.
Our club maintains training grounds east of Saskatoon and south of Bradwell. There, members and participants can work with their dogs and take part in training opportunities throughout the year. Whether you are starting with a young retriever or building skills for competition, the club offers a place to learn, practise, and connect with others who share an interest in retriever work.
Retriever Training Near Saskatoon
Retriever training is a major part of what we do. The club offers opportunities for handlers to build obedience, retrieving, and field skills in a practical outdoor setting. For example, our spring training class helps retriever owners build foundational skills and prepare for future training and event participation.
Training may include basic control work, retrieving on land and water, hold and fetch, and exposure to field situations. As a result, dogs and handlers can build confidence together. Over time, these activities help develop capable working retrievers.
Retriever Hunt Tests, Field Trials, and Working Certificates
The club is involved in CKC retriever activities in Saskatchewan. These include hunt tests, field trials, and working certificate events. As a result, handlers have opportunities to test their dogs’ abilities, gain experience, and enjoy the retriever community.
Throughout the season, participants can watch for event dates, premium lists, and updates. In addition, the website shares information about upcoming activities and club events. Whether you want to enter an event or simply learn more, the site can help you get started.
